About the Author

Sikose Mji is a retired South African diplomat and senior civil servant. Her distinguished career includes serving as Ambassador to Poland (2001–2005), Benin (2008–2012), and Zambia (2015–2018). Now based in Pretoria, she enjoys retirement with her family, including three children and two grandchildren. Her memoir reflects not only her personal journey but also a broader historical narrative of struggle, empowerment, and service.
